Yield Engineer

Job Description

LA Semiconductor is hiring a yield engineer.

As a Yield Engineer at LA Semiconductors 200mm manufacturing facility, you will work in a dynamic team environment and oversee the yield improvement, parametric centering and cycle-time improvements of a number of high performance technologies. Each day you will be challenged by working on a diverse set of projects with a world class team.

Specific responsibilities include:

· Analysis of Yield at Wafer Sort & Final Test to determine and resolve causes of low yield, identify/drive opportunities for improvement through structured problem solving methodologies (e.g. 5Y, 8D, DMAIC)

· Define process windows that ensure high electrical yield, based on available and experimental data

· Support the Process and Yield teams on Process Changes, New Process & New Product introduction analysis of yield, parametric and E-test data to ensure technology and product meet manufacturability goals

· Design and analyze experiments to improve yield, performance, cycle-time and cost

· Interface with the Product Engineers & Business Units jointly identify and drive wafer Fab improvements, test program optimization, and reduce potential product marginalities

· Support customer audits, customer return issues, customer qualification data

· Drive the disposition of maverick material through E-test, Fab issues, Wafer Sort

· Drive root cause analysis and cross functional corrective action teams

· Report to management on progress to goals

· Represent Device/Yield on process transfer teams.

· Drive to industrialize new process technologies. Industrialization is the process of making a silicon technology high yielding and robust in a short amount of time.

Preferred:

· Previous experience in supporting High Voltage Analog and BCD technologies

· Experience with Automotive manufacturing requirements and customer support is a plus

· Thorough understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and device physics, product testing, performance and reliability.
