Corel is looking for a full-time User Experience Designer to create exceptional user experiences for our Graphics products. The enthusiastic and talented individual in this key position will report to the Director of Product Design and will be accountable for designing products that delight millions of users across the globe. This position is remote work friendly. The candidate would preferably be located in Ottawa, but all applications will be reviewed, and the best suitable candidate will be selected.

Responsibilities:

Synthesize and translate customer and business needs into meaningful requirements
Work with technical teams to break down new requirements into manageable components that may be delivered with the right level of user value and quality
Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by conducting user research and interpreting analytics data
Design unique and compelling end-user solutions, communicated in a clear and concise form, and including use cases, wireframes, and mockups
Design and evolve the workflow and user interaction of all solutions based on user and business inputs

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Computer Interaction, Architecture, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or other related design field
3-5 years of experience designing for desktop, mobile, and web platforms
Strong interaction and visual design skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to deliver against tight deadlines
Solid understanding of devices and platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows and macOS

Nice-to-haves:

Knowledge of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite
Experience with various graphics, photo-editing, and digital imaging tools
Sound understanding of cameras, photography, and related digital workflow
Familiarity with an agile development process
Experience with conducting and analyzing user research
Experience with collecting and analyzing data, and translating it into meaningful design insights
