Technical Product Owner/Technical Manager - Streaming Services

Job Description

About the Role:

The technical manager is responsible for driving our clients Metadata team. They will engage in growing the team, ensuring that the team follows through with deliverables and communicating with C Suite Level Executives.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
· Setting up procedural guidelines to establish a successful delivery process
· Overseeing teams across the different stages of project delivery by supervising staff
· Evaluating consumer feedback and instituting changes as necessary to manage expectations
· Ensuring that operations are cost-effective and stay within budget
· Act as liaison officer between different teams to build partnerships and develop solutions
· Estimate timelines for both long-term roadmap initiatives and short-term deliverables
· Establish and enforce best practices in code control, code reviews, unit testing, etc.
· Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities. Drive results proactively.
· All about observability. The tools and systems you build are managed and improved based on key KPIs.

Must Have:
· Experience in management tools, such as Jira, Google Sheets, Scheduling Software.
· Experience in Streaming Services Areas (HLS, DASH, DRM).
· Understanding of how software is built and shipped.
· Experience in Metadata
· New Relic/Observability Experience
· Experience leading highly technical teams
· Strong Communication Skills with C Suite Level Executives

Nice to Have:

· Understanding of the TV Industry (Providers, OTA Locals, Broadcast, Movies, Sports)
· Understanding of AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure
· OTT Experience
· Agile experience
· Strong Delivery Management Skills
