SUMMARY:

The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the System Engineer.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide IT architecture and solutions.

Manage and maintain core infrastructure hardware and software.

Administration of virtualized server environments and related applications / systems.

Proactively monitor security, health, and performance of systems / infrastructure.

Implement tools to provide analytic trend analysis, capacity planning and performance data.

Assist in standardized design of new and existing processes and policies.

Document existing systems architecture and technology portfolio.

Research and recommend emerging technologies to increase cost effectiveness, security, and scalability.

Assist in the day-to-day network operation, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Monitor local and wide area network health / capacity limits.

Assist with implementation of new and upgrade of existing sites.

Current knowledge of PCI/SOX compliance processes and procedures

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience with administering Cisco networking technologies (Catalyst/Nexus switches, ASA/Firepower Firewalls) - Cisco certification preferred.

5+ years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls

3+ years of Cisco Meraki (Wired and Wireless)

3+ years of experience with VMware vSphere and vSAN

Heavy knowledge of networking technology to include SDWAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, SNMP, VPN, NTP, MPLS, BGP and remote communications.

Experience with Business Recovery methods, database system management functions and SAN based storage solutions a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma required.

Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Proficient in use of Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office software.

Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 - Offer placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, including prior relevant experience, skill set, and qualifications.
