Staff Analog Design Engineer - Pro-Audio

Job Description

Did you know the earliest intercom came about in the late 1960s when rock bands got too loud for the crew to shout instructions to each other?
The man who invented it is an audio genius who also modified Clapton's amplifiers to give him the high-gain feedback tone he was searching for. In this role, you would have the opportunity to learn directly from him and become the company's next in-house analog audio expert.
Today they supply wireless communications and Pro-Audio products, used by millions on a daily basis, to companies in the restaurant, outside broadcasting, and live events sectors. You will design and develop their analog audio systems but work closely with the digital electronics team to ensure the smooth delivery of new products.
Key responsibilities:
Electrical lead for new product development
Board-level analog electronics design
Write technical specifications
Project planning, risk analysis, and mitigation
Review team members' designs and share expertise in analog electrics design.
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
5 years as an Electronics Design Engineer (3 with MSc)
Audio circuit design and testing experience
Nice to have some digital electronics design knowledge.
Must be on-site in Carlsbad, CA
This is a fun company to work for; they make industry-leading products and genuinely value their staff. They retained all their team through the COVID crisis and haven't fallen into the recent trend of hiring and firing that so many other companies have.
