Job Description:
Are you a professional Software Engineer with an interest in space, satellites, and ground systems? If so, Parsons has an exciting opportunity for you! We are planning a partnership with the Space Development Agency and will require your assistance in developing outstanding software solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering, computer sciences, math, or physical sciences (STEM) from an accredited institution. Advanced degree supporting software system subject matter expertise a plus.
Active Top Secret clearance.
8+ years of software development experience
Desired:
Experience delivering ground software solutions for aerospace or space systems, which could include the following:
Hands on design, build, test, and/or fault analysis experience with complex software architectures required.
Knowledge of DoD space mission integration processes (space vehicle to ground control system, space vehicle to launch vehicle systems, space vehicle to range systems) and experience with risk identification and risk management.
Ability to effectively engage industry stakeholders, government staff, and technical panels to perform monitoring and assessment responsibilities in support of mission critical preflight risk assessments.
Ability to engage on multiple concurrent efforts that will each be a different stage of the assessment and evaluation cycle.
Ability to participate in cross functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system engineering and integration activities.
Geographical proximity or willingness to relocate to Chantilly, VA.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
