Sr. Software Engineer

Job Description

Location: Remote

What youll do

- Define and implement cloud-native and microservices architectures.

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure applications.

- Automate business processes to improve efficiency.

- Write clean, testable, maintainable code that meets high engineering standards.

- Work closely with clients to build and productionize products, tackling a wide range of data, cloud, and DevOps challenges.

- Deliver tangible results with simple, impactful workflowswhile knowing when to reach for more complex solutions.

- Help interview and onboard future team members, and share your knowledge openly with colleagues.

- Develop a secondary focus area, depending on your interests:

Tooling (building internal developer tools)

Content (writing and sharing learnings)

Mentorship (training newcomers at bootcamps)

What youll bring

- Strong programming experience across multiple paradigms (object-oriented, functional, etc.).

- Proficiency in Python (our main language).

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi).

- Solid background in data and domain modeling, especially Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

- Expertise with containers, orchestration, and cloud platforms.

- Experience with React or Next.js.

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

- A pragmatic approach: you value simplicity, clarity, and client trust over overengineering.

- Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have:

- Kafka or NATS

- .NET / C#

- Experience in large-scale enterprise IT

- Open-source contributions

- Strong computer science fundamentals
