Our client seeks a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Warrenton, Virginia, contributing to our rapid expansion in the counter-UAS/counterdrone sector. Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, this role offers an exciting opportunity to integrate state-of-the-art technologies with esteemed Government clients and partners. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse technical skill set, collaborating with internal tech teams, external engineering units, and valued customers and partners.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement scripts and services to integrate advanced sensors into our web-based Command and Control (C2) platform.
Translate complex business requirements into software solutions ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with partners and customers to design and optimize distributed systems.
Foster close collaboration with a team of engineers across the United States and Australia.
Assume operational ownership for services within your team's domain.

Must-Haves:

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
3 to 6 years of software development experience in Go (Golang), Python, and/or JavaScript.
Experience with sensor integration and distributed IoT-like systems.
Proficiency in web application development, Unix/Linux environments, large software systems, microservice infrastructure, and security software development.
Strong networking and scripting skills.
Comfortable communicating solutions to complex problems with customers and partners.

Nice-to-Haves:
Prior involvement in start-up or scale-up settings.
Experience with Machine Learning or complex algorithm services.
Defense industry experience.
