We are supporting a fast-paced, dynamic environment to analyze and develop the next generation of Astrodynamic Standards software capabilities used by the United States Space Force (USSF), the United States Air Force (USAF), and the Department of Defense (DoD). Our team is looking for a Software Engineer with a strong analytical focus, attention to detail, and excellent development language skills. The physical location for this work will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science or technical discipline with minimum of 5 years of industry experience. Years of additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
Experience developing and maintaining software features for customers in at least one of the following languages: Java, Fortran, C/C++, Rust, Julia
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good Technical Writing skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract
Desired Skills
Working understanding of orbital mechanics
Experience with mathematical software development
Experience with Fortran
Experience with C/C++
Experience with Rust
Experience with Julia
Experience with WebAssembly
Experience with building RESTful web services & APIs (Swagger API)
Experience working with web service data formats (JSON, JSON-P, XML)
Experience with using version control software and process (Git)
