Software Developer, Radar Systems

Job Description

yn Aerospace has an immediate opening for an E3 through E6 Real-time Systems Developer. This position is available at our Santa Maria, CA office. Position is eligible for relocation.

The candidate Real-time Systems Developer will support the design, development, integration and test of advanced instrumentation radar systems to include signature and metric analysis in support of our customers located at Vandenberg AFB (CA), Pacific Missile Range Facility (Kauai, HI) and Patrick AFB (FL).

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Design & development of real-time radar subsystem control software
Development of FPGA based waveform generators and timing subsystems
Generation of software specifications based on customer and or specific radar application
Support generation of software design documentation: Software Development Plan, Software
Requirements Specification, Software Design Document, Version Description Document

Integration and test of radar subsystem hardware & software. Develop integration and test plans.
Perform subsystem and system level performance testing

Support site integration and test activities
Development and updates to radar system & subsystem user documentation
Prepare and participate in engineering design reviews
Support implementation and mitigation of Cybersecurity protocols and controls (RMF)
Provide on-site radar engineering and operations support (land and shipboard systems)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (or Physics, Math) with software development experience in C++, C, C#, Python and MATLAB
3+ years real-time software development, integration and test experience, or relevant course work
Extensive Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance. Dual citizenship not accepted.
Preferred Experience

5+ years design, development, integration, operations and maintenance experience with
Instrumentation Radar systems such as TPQ-18, MPS-25, FPQ-6.

Or, Master of Science Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with emphasis on design of signal processing and waveform generation.
