Software Developer

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer for a permanent opportunity in the western suburbs. This person will develop, implement, maintain and troubleshoot applications, services and websites. Also, this person will be responsible for adding functions to and maintaining web architectural environments, and in maintaining professional coding and structural standards, as well as ensuring clean QA and build-release processes.

Responsibilities:

Work with business owners to refine and translate requirements into technical specs, that can be used by fellow developers.
Dynamic web development
Perform Kentico CMS development and integration.
Participate in front-end debug and development as needed.
Develop middleware infrastructure for public websites
Design, develop and stand up APIs and services to support Marketing requirements.
Develop, augment and maintain services to capture, pass and modify marketing data for business systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and deployment issues in release systems and in Azure application hosting systems.
Help maintain Azure and local development, QA, and production environments
Assist with website updates and releases.
Assist in the development of Test development and integration, in order to prevent code and function regression.

Qualifications:
C#; ASP.NET MVC; Razor; ASP.NET WebForms (3-5 years)
Proficiency using standard web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery (5+ years)
SQL Server; T-SQL; (1-3 years)
Experience creating Single Page Applications using REACT is a plus
Experience working with JavaScript build tools such as Gulp, Webpack, and Babel is a plus
Experience creating RESTFul Services is a plus.
Experience working in a cloud environment (preferred Azure) a plus.
Good understanding of object-oriented programming
Good understanding of Test-Driven Development
Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and system development methodologies.
Focus on using web development best practices
Focus on user-friendly and accessible design and interface experience
Experience working on multiple projects with tight deadlines with competing priorities and complexities; strong multi-tasking abilities.
Understanding of basic network architecture
Good experience with Azure DevOps or other Server Build / Release Management system
