Software and Data Engineer
Job Description
Bitweave provide data engineering and software solutions for large scale data analysis. We are looking to expand our engineering team with exceptional Software and Data Engineers. This is the perfect opportunity for a high quality and motivated engineer to join a successful, talented company.
What you will do:
You will work within a small cross-functional Agile engineering team designing and building software systems for curating, processing, and analysing large volumes of data. You will contribute to all aspects of system development including requirement capture, infrastructure definition, system design, software development, cloud orchestration, and system testing. You will be comfortable working remotely as part of a distributed Agile team and be able to work independently to deliver high-quality software. Although remote working, there will be some travel within South West/West Midlands.
Your skills:
* Java mastery
* Knowledge of cloud, containerisation, scaling, and orchestration technologies
* An understanding of how to build resilient and scalable distributed software
* Experience of working in an Agile engineering team
* An analytical mind and a passion for problem solving
* A desire to build robust, well-engineered and maintainable systems
* Some experience with Python and machine learning will be beneficial
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
