Job Description

Job Title: Senior SQL DBA
Dept. Infrastructure Shared Services
Reports To: ISS
Status: Regular-Full Time
Location: Alabang, Philippines
Hours: Shifting/ On-call

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain under operational conditions the SQL Server Infrastructure in respect of the Support processes
2. Build, deploy and administer/manage the current and future SQL Server platforms.
3. Senior level of operational support on:
Troubleshooting incidents and problem management,
Reporting and communication.
4. Pro-active in ensuring stability, response time, operational consistency and life cycle over the SQL Server databases.
5. Implement automation via scripting
6. Ensure appropriate documentation, including procedures for level 2 and level 3 support.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Handle Post Gre and/or MySQL technology support
2. Contribute to search and qualification of new solutions with Technical Architecture teams and Design Teams
3. Provide monthly reports on activity, quality and performance

Primary Technical abilities:
1. SQL LANGUAGE: Fluent, trained with complex join, T-SQL programming, SQL Agent Jobs linked_servers
2. SQL Server: comfortable with arge databases, numerous Instances, backup strategies, recovery mode linked servers, MSX, versions 2000 to 2016
3. Installation, Administration, Setup, Tuning and Troubleshooting of SQL Servers
4. Strong experience in operational support: incident management (diagnostic, impact analysis, workaround implementation, communication, reporting, permanent enhancement)
5. Experience in High availability solutions
6. Experience in Cloud solutions (ideally Azure)

Secondary Technical abilities:
1. Knowledge in ITIL framework
2. Knowledge on Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Network)
3. Knowledge on Post Gre / MySQL / Oracle Databases
4. 7-10 years of experience in Infrastructure IT, with 3 years specifically on DB Administration,
5. Self-motivated, eager to learn in the IT profession,
6. Team player must be able to work with people within and outside of the IT department,
7. Customer service oriented,
8. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. English speaking mandatory (French reading would be appreciated)
9. Ability to analyze and synthesize situations and understand the business constraints,
10. Willing to do some traveling
