THE ROLE:

Senior Software Developer - MyPathway

This role will sit in the MyPathway team, reporting to the Development Manager. MyPathway is a Patient Engagement Portal (PEP) that delivers a digital communication channel to connect patients, carers and healthcare providers via two solutions the MyPathway Patient App and MyPathway Clinical Portal. The award-winning platform supports a personalised interaction between the patient and clinician, increasing access to care services and providing greater data insight at individual and population levels. The MyPathway clinical pathway management solutions provide enriched patient data to support enhanced decision-making and improved clinical outcomes, whilst reducing clinical and operational administration.

The Senior Software Developer at MyPathway is a pivotal role in the delivery of high value, quality software solutions. The Senior Developer works with the business tech leadership to help define and implement technical architecture, design principles, and coding guidelines throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. The successful application will have a passion for software development, and play an integral part in driving forward this ambitious project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities within the role of Senior Developer will include but is not limited to:

Delivery of quality software in line with defined standards
Work with the Product Office/Subject Matter Experts to ensure clear development requirements are defined
Collaborate with the QA team
Assist in maintaining the development backlogs (Jira)
Contribute to discussions in relation to architecture, design principles, and coding standards
Mentoring of junior development staff
Joining customer calls to provide technical expertise
Code reviews
Preparing new builds and assisting with deployment as required
Assisting the support team as required

THE RIGHT PERSON:

The suitable candidate will have a passion for technology, quality and customer satisfaction. A hands-on, seasoned developer, with good technical and communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential

3+ years as a senior developer, minimum 8 years overall experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with both a technical and non-technical audience
Strong relationship-building skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver work under pressure and to deadlines

Senior level development skills in the following technologies:
