The Impact You Will Have:
As a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer you will play an important role by working closely with the development team members to build product solutions, starting with the new VitalSmarts Learning Experience Platform. The Sr. Software Quality Assurance Engineer will help the team achieve technical, operational, and business requirements through the blend of multiple testing strategies, frameworks and methods.
You will be working within a CI/CD environment, ensuring high standards for security, meeting acceptance criteria, and ensuring scalability and resilience are met, and collaborating with the development team to achieve high-quality deliverables. You will report to the Software Architect.
A Day in the Life:
Serve as a member of our Product team to plan, develop and test solutions for new projects
Apply best practices throughout the software development life cycle
Solve complex problems using knowledge, passion and curiosity
Help build and deliver world-class products
Drive robust, maintainable and scalable software within our existing business and/or product architecture and platforms
Partner in the solution designs by identifying essential acceptance criteria elements and problem outcomes then construct tests accordingly
Assure the implementation of excellent end-user experiences, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, simplicity and quality
Drive substantial quality results by performing detailed and thorough unit, component, end-to-end black and white box testing while leveraging peer reviews for your work and the work of cross functional teams
Manage test suites, cases, regression plans and related reporting for end-to-end automated testing scenarios
Create guidelines and documentation for test automation framework development and other related testing tools
What You'll Need:
4-7 years of experience testing and launching software products and/or services
Strong analytical ability, exceptional skills with attention to details, documenting and troubleshooting errors
Experience with bug tracking systems
Significant experience with front end technologies. VueJS, ReactJS, Angular a plus.
Significant experience with a variety of UI testing tools like Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Mocha & Chai, Postman, SoapUI.
Experience in UI & microservice development
Experience with data persistence frameworks and databases
Experience with AWS a plus
Java/Kotlin/JVM languages with Spring technologies. Reactive experience a plus.
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Familiar with Agile/Scrum practices
Strong familiarity and understanding of at least one popular IDE
Enjoy sharing ideas with, and learning from, other team members
Work independently with a strong sense of personal accountability and excellence in your work
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
