About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. You will be working remotely from Brazil, collaborating closely with our customer based in North Carolina, USA. This role requires a understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, particularly TypeScript, Node.js. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that meet our client's needs.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using TypeScript, Node.js.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Work closely with the client's team based in North Carolina, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
Extensive experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries and APIs.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools.
Soft Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms and services is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Ability to work in a remote team environment, demonstrating self-discipline and time management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with clients in the US or other international teams.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git
