Scrum/ Agile Coach

Job Description

Our client company is a large financial service and technology firm. We're seeking a professional Agile Coach for a contract to hire position in Jersey City, NJ.

The experienced Agile Coach will share the load of 1:1 Coaching, Team Coaching, and Training in a delivery process based on Agile principles and practices. This position requires a significant background as an Agile Coach.

We're looking for Candidates who are local to Jersey City only (or within daily commutable distance) for this role. This will be a remote/hybrid role where you'll work 3 days onsite, and 2 days remotely.

Responsibilities:

Model the Scrum Master responsibilities as part of Coaching new teams

Share wins and struggles with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches, so everyone learns from each other

Coach team members who are currently wearing Scrum Master hats

Help teams implement/improve Agile development approaches

Act as a Facilitator running Release Planning Sessions and Retrospectives on a larger program level scale

Work with teams identify project risks and raise them immediately

Be responsible for removing impediments on team, as well as organizational level

Remain at the leading-edge of Agile development practices and contribute to their spreading across the organization

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.

Must have 10+ years of overall work experience as a Developer, QA, Release Manager or any other role that promotes strong understanding of SDLC

Must have 6+ years of recent work experience promoting Agile methodologies and supporting tools

Requires a demonstrated, proven background as an Agile Coach.

Must have experience with Scrum and Kanban Methodologies.

Must have experience with Agile product and portfolio management.

3 +years of experience as a hands on Scrum Master on a minimum of 5 different teams is required

2 + year of hands on Jira experience is required
