Radar Signature Analyst
Job Description
Lyn Aerospace has an immediate opening for an experienced Radar Signature Analyst. This position is available at our Santa Maria, CA office location.
The candidate Radar Signature Analyst will perform wideband signature analysis from various radar sensors around the globe.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Develop and use analysis tools and other technical methods as required, in order to analyze performance on tracked objects to include performance of host radar system
Interpret observations from Range Time Intensity (RTI) and Doppler Time Intensity (DTI) plots
Perform metric analysis of host radar system. Develop antenna mount bias model based on radar track versus precision ephemeris
Develop and present signature analysis reports to customers
Develop and or update data analysis software tools
Exploit radar data to develop & characterize performance of new algorithms, as well as assist in identifying performance anomalies, gather and review information to support root cause analysis
Recommend workflow and or process improvements
Requires ability to travel up to 15%
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree in (Engineering, Physics or Math) with software development experience in C++, C, C#, Python and MATLAB
3+ years of radar signature analysis experience
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience and Linux shell scripting highly desirable
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret security clearance. Dual citizenship not accepted.
