Job Description

Role: Connected Vehicle Senior QA engineer
Work Location: Chennai or Bangalore
Job Purpose
Lead software Testing team of the core Platform of connected vehicles
Evaluates trade-offs between different options in regards to scalability, performance, cost and availability - makes sure that the core services to our customers are always available
Aligns and participate in global knowledge sharing within Daimler to leverage existing development work and contribute back with the expertise of internal developer teams
Responsibilities:
Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
Experience and Qualifications
5 - 10 years of relevant experience in a QA engineer role.
UI Automation (Selenium + JAVA) Must have
Min 5 years in API and API Automation (good JAVA proficiency / advance Oops concept) Must have.
Json protocol, Rest assured, SQL, J-meter, Analytical skills, Oops concept and Schema validation.
Performance Testing experience (Good to have)
Azure/AWS/any cloud understanding (Good to have)
The majority of QA experience testing consumer software (mobile/web apps) and/or hardware (wearables, IoT, etc.)
Familiarity with testing (and/or interest in learning) various application stacks including web apps (React, GraphQL, APIs, Python, Flask), mobile apps (Swift, Kotlin) and hardware (C, Java, Python)
Experience with project and bug tracking tools: Jira, VSTS, Confluence and TestRail
Experience with various utilities and tools: Postman, Charles, Android Studio, Xcode, Insomnia
Working knowledge with build and release tools: GitHub, buddybuild, Bitrise, Cypress
Excellent communication and social skills
Experience with test automation a major plus (Appium, Selenium, TestNG, etc.)
Education & Training Graduate: Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering,
