PRODUCT DESIGNER
UK BASED FULLY REMOTE ROLE
Due to expansion , we have an exciting position available for an experienced Product Designer to join a start up in a Design and Technology Incubator and work from the Uk on a fully remote permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong UI/UX Design background with the skills and ambition to take a leading role within a new team within the incubator as well as being highly creative and the ability to design highly functional interfaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To establish and take over the initial concept work for product ideas
To translate the work into comprehensive sets of UI that can then be briefed into a product team
To explore new ideas to grow and improve the products by facilitating discussions as well as both designing and prototyping new functionalities
To conduct user interviews as well as usability tests to make sure all designs will be highly functional, as well as accessible and will deliver a first class User Experience
To take ownership of improving and creating new user journeys and wireframing To design high fidelity mockups and present them confidently to stakeholders to get buy in To build and maintain a design system library and work with the developers regarding this
Ability to take ownership for projects
To solve problems and work on complex projects
The ability to work fast and fluent in design tools that can design user interfaces at speed
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS :
A Design related degree
3-5+ years experience of Product /UI/UX Design
A strong portfolio to showcase your work
Passion for design with a creative flair
Proven experience of designing visually appealing and complex, highly functional products
Experience of working as the sole designer in a team but also part of a wider design group)
Experience of working with a range of tech tools including Sketch and Figma or designing directly in code
Collaborative and communicative
