Job Description
LA Semiconductor is the newest US Owned and Operated, Fully Operational, Pure-Play Semiconductor Foundry for Analog, Mixed Signal, and Power Products. LA Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join and lead the Procurement team, located in Pocatello, Idaho. As the Procurement Manager, you will have the opportunity integrate new systems and reporting tools to help lead the supply chain for a Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. You will own leading and managing a team of highly trained individuals. Performance Objectives:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
· Lead and manage a team of buyers and material planners in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
· Establish KPIs and metrics for purchasing team, focused on cost, supplier quality, and supplier performance, and commodity management.
· Collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews of stakeholders and cross-functional teams
· Responsible for commodity strategy and process improvement, to ensure availability of critical direct and indirect materials for manufacturing; enable & drive redundancy in supply chain to minimize risk.
· Be an analytical thinker with the ability to use multiple resources to help create strategic cost-saving initiatives; Create forecasts, model trends, and use analytics for decision making and strategic planning
· Drives continuous improvement within the procurement and supply chain systems, to generate process, cost, and resource efficiencies. Serve as process leader for issue triage, regarding procurement support in conjunction with accounts payable/invoicing
· Solve problems daily tied to the supply chain market and reduce total cost of ownership spend to the fab.
· Partner with legal and stakeholders to manage RFQ/RFP and negotiate/create supplier contracts to minimize risk and maximize value. Negotiate supply agreements and onboard new suppliers as needed.
· Builds strong relationships and collaboratively interact with stakeholders, finance, cross-functional teams, and external supplier contacts build strategy, roadmaps, and critical relationships that facilitate success
· Establish key supplier management strategy to understand capabilities, market trends, and identify new approaches to enable opportunity for stakeholders to drive cost and performance efficiencies.
