Network Engineer/ Network Security

Job Description

As a network engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our organization's computer networks. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our network infrastructure operates efficiently, securely, and reliably to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:-

Network Design and Planning:
Design and plan the organization's network infrastructure, considering factors such as capacity, scalability, security, and performance requirements.
Develop network architecture diagrams and documentation to illustrate proposed designs and configurations.
Implementation and Deployment:
Deploy and configure networking hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other devices.
Build and expand the network infrastructure according to established design specifications and standards.
Network Security:
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS and IPS), VPNs, and other security appliances.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups.
Performance Optimization:
Optimize network performance by fine-tuning configurations, implementing quality of service (QoS) policies, and optimizing traffic flow to improve efficiency and minimize latency.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance metrics as required.
Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with other IT teams, including system administrators, security analysts, and software developers, to integrate network services with other systems and applications.
Provide technical support and expertise to resolve network-related issues and assist with troubleshooting efforts.
Stay Updated:
Stay informed about emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices.
Participate in professional development activities, such as training courses and certifications, to enhance skills and knowledge.
