Manager - U.S. Indirect Tax
Job Description
Salary budget: less than 250k usd per year
Responsibilities:
- Identifying U.S. state & local indirect tax issues related to new business initiatives
- Researching state and local indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services
- Provide tax reporting guidance based on research of transaction tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Respond to and resolve notices promptly
- Review U.S. indirect tax filings
- Review reconciliations of U.S. indirect tax general ledger accounts
- Special projects as needed
Required skills:
- Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit process, and tax law;
- Experience with preparing complicated tax returns for corporate.
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to deliver on tight timelines
- Be able to work with multicultural teams and be patient and understanding
- Be able to work with a fast paced start-up
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Experience from a Big-4 public accounting firm is preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of U.S. indirect tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation
- CPA required
