SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Lead Software Architect to join our team. You will be involved in the development of our company's technical infrastructure and software applications. Your duties will include system integration, communicating with stakeholders, and defining the solutions needed to implement business strategies and processes. You will also be tasked with leading operations and development teams in the agile design, development, and implementation of software systems.
The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the Lead Software Architect. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with various stakeholders and team members to determine best practices and requirements for software
Serve as a technical liaison among project managers, developers, and stakeholders
Translate business needs and requirements into technical requirements for software applications
Manage the design, development, and implementation of software solutions
Manage all phases of technology development
Oversight and approval of all final programs and products before formal launch
Prepare an easy to understand report for supervisors detailing achieved milestones and short-term project goals
Introduce modern SDLC practices including unit testing and continuous integration
Use a proactive approach to common challenges and by continually researching best practices in coding
Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
Research, compare, benchmark and evaluate new technologies and making recommendations that best fit the needs of the
organization
Present proposed design options to business users and IT leadership
Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
Oversee and support the coaching and training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of
software applications
Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
Research and prototype emerging technologies
Identify opportunities in the engineering platform that will drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability and re-usability
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to write computer programs for various purposes.
· Ability to analyze and address needs of users.
· Thorough understanding of software architecture principles and procedures.
· Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering, Computer Software Engineering, Computer Engineering Technologies, or related field required.
At least 5 years of related experience required.

Annual Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 - Offer placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, including prior relevant experience, skill set, and qualifications.
