LEAD PRODUCT DESIGNER
UK BASED ONLY
REMOTE WITH OCCASIONAL MEETINGS ON SITE
We are excited to offer this brand new role for a Lead Product Designer to join a very highly successful e-commerce company and work on a range of top selling products.
The role of Lead Product Designer will lead and mentor a team of Designers, working across a range of e-commerce products producing high end designs, collaborating within a multi functional agile team.
This role will be both leading the team and working hands on.
Responsibilities:
To lead and mentor a team of designers across all product design on a range of e commerce products
To report into the Head of Product and work closely with the product team on future roadmap ideas, and developers to build the product
This role will be key in driving the introduction of new user research techniques and assessing the success ongoing
To own the product design strategy creating the style guide and design library that aligns with the product strategy
To work hands on with the team and work across User Research, Usability testing , Wireframing , Prototyping and User Flows
Using Data / User Research to create User Centric Products
To interpret user research / testing outputs and synthesise with and improve existing designs and journeys
To be an advocate for the user
To find creative solutions using design thinking to solve UX problems
To ensure all UX Designs align with the defined design principles
To evangelise design thinking within the organisation and introduce this leading approach to design within the team
To have expertise of working to design sprints within an agile environment
Qualifications / Experience:
A Design related degree
5+ years experience within Product Design
Leadership experience / mentoring
E Commerce experience essential
Experience within a agile environment
Working with design sprints
Full end to end Product Design expertise from User Research, through all end to end design processes with a strong ui output
Experience of working with a variation of different ux research techniques
Tech ability to build prototypes
Experience of tools such as Sketch / Invision
