Junior Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) / Acting CIO

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Junior CISO / Acting CIO to lead our technology and security operations across healthcare and patient care environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a rising IT security leader to combine executive leadership with practical day-to-day management of technology, infrastructure, and patient data protection.

What Youll Do:
Develop & maintain HIPAA-compliant security programs
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident responses
Oversee IT & EHR systems supporting clinical operations
Collaborate with leadership to drive digital health initiatives
Align technology strategies with patient care goals
Mentor a small IT & security team

What Were Looking For:
58 years in IT/cybersecurity (healthcare experience preferred)
Knowledge of EHRs, PACS, and patient management systems
Familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, NIST, ISO 27001, HITRUST
Leadership, communication, and change management skills
Certifications like CISSP, CISM, HCISPP, or Security+ are a plus
