About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT & Cybersecurity Manager to lead and strengthen IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and cybersecurity operations within a fast-growing, technically complex organization.
This role is responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable IT systems while supporting both on-site operations and distributed teams. The ideal candidate will take ownership of cybersecurity strategy, cloud administration, IT governance, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee IT security and cybersecurity operations, including network protection, threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and incident response
Manage and administer cloud environments (Azure and AWS), ensuring uptime, scalability, and compliance with data governance policies
Lead capacity planning for cloud, storage, network, and internet infrastructure
Administer user accounts, permissions, and authentication systems following least-privilege best practices
Create, maintain, and enforce IT and cybersecurity policies, including acceptable use, data retention, and disaster recovery
Govern IT policies through regular audits, reviews, and employee awareness initiatives
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate with third-party IT service providers
Oversee hardware and software procurement, installation, maintenance, and licensing compliance
Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches
Coordinate and execute backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for security vulnerabilities
Monitor IT budgets, vendor contracts, and operational costs
Stay current with emerging technologies and evolving cyber threats
Support and train staff on cybersecurity awareness and IT best practices
Prepare and present reports on IT performance, security posture, and infrastructure improvements
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in IT management, network administration, or cybersecurity leadership
Strong knowledge of IT security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls
Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and server management
Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions
Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar) is an asset
Experience writing, implementing, and governing IT policies in growing environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Experience in regulated or aviation environments is considered an asset
Work Conditions
Location: Lindsay, Ontario
After-hours availability required for system maintenance or emergency response
Ability to manage remote environments and support distributed teams
