Ashford Hybrid wfh available one day per week required in the office
Salary: £40k - £45k
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can deliver core product and custom solutions to their clients most of whom are global publishers of newspapers and magazines.
As a Technical Project Manager, you are the keeper of the castle and the bridge between their clients and their development team. You are able to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and team members. You are a rock for the clients and teams someone they 100% trust to troubleshoot any risks or dependencies before they derail a project, as well as to give them bad news straight (but always with a solution in hand). You are able to build project plans and timelines that account for contingencies before they arise and are able to gently-but-firmly guide our clients and team to a successful project completion.
The Technical Project Manager will manage client and vendor relationships to deliver enterprise solutions composed of responsive websites and mobile applications. A level of technical understanding regarding these solutions is expected.
The role requires you to work closely with the Senior Project Managers and Product Owners to understand priorities and ensure the effective definition, refinement and prioritisation of the product backlog
As a Project Manager you will be an enthusiastic problem solver who thrives on being engaged in all levels of a project. To be successful, you must be able to guide both the client and the internal team to ensure both the tone of the engagement and delivery are on track.
You must think quickly under pressure, motivate those around you and own the timely and accurate delivery of projects. The ability to read between the lines, anticipate issues, and communicate consistently and accurately across various project channels are key requirements.
You should have a strong interest in the iOS and Android app space and you should be able to understand what API, SDK, Analytics and Payment providers mean. You should be able to demonstrate that you have worked in similar roles before.
Responsibilities
Manage projects throughout all phases of the delivery lifecycle (initiation, scoping, execution, release, maintenance)
Manage timelines and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon
Manage cross-functional project teams distributed over different geographic locations
Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across projects based on scope of work and project goals
Create project plans, issues list and risk register that include the critical details to successfully delivery the project such as: dependencies, accountable parties, business sign-off, among others
Work closely with the team to ensure it delivers products and features that meet both stakeholder and technical requirements
Act as a client point-of-contact for all project related issues, effectively managing the clients expectations and ensuring the successful resolution of issues to deliver the highest quality service
Proactively forecast clients' needs, and correctly set expectations.
Track client feedback and integrate that input into improvements to our relationship and delivery process.
Be responsible for enforcing agile values & practices within the team
Support the Product Owner, especially with respect to prioritising, refining and managing the product backlog
Work closely with the team to ensure that the requirements are clearly and concisely interpreted into the backlog and developed to meet the requirements
Work with the operations team to design and document operational processes, constantly striving to improve their efficiency and clarity within the business

Communication
Drive transparency and communication across all areas of the business but especially between the team, client and senior management, ensuring that the status of projects and resources are clear at all times.
As a problem solver, you will eliminate conflicts, assist your team in developing appropriate solution strategies, and keep an eye on potential future tensions.
Planning
Play a key role in the project planning process for cross-functional teams and ensure that plans are communicated back to the business.
Work with the operations and product teams to define high-level resource plans that give the business a view of longer term delivery and any associated challenges.
Delivery
As part of the team, be responsible for the delivery of client projects on time and to budget and lead by example being positive and proactive at all times.
Be recognised as an expert in your area and partner with stakeholders to deliver world-class products that generate value for the company and our clients.
Client relationships
Be seen as an asset to our clients and develop a close relationship with them during the project lifecycle. Work to understand their business and take an active interest in how our products and solutions can be of value to them.
