Job Description:
We have the following contract role with our client "State of Iowa".
Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Drupal developer to join the fast-paced Information Technology team.
The suite of IWD citizen-facing Drupal sites provides critical services to Iowa businesses and individuals, assisting with unemployment, re-employment, and education/training programs. The IWD Communications and Web Development team often work alongside senior business Stakeholders and Executive Leadership to realize strategic goals centered around innovation and customer engagement.
This position partners with the current IWD web developer to advance priority initiatives, including platform upgrades, website redesigns, heightened site security, customer experience analytics, and department intranet(s). In addition, this position collaborates with the IWD IT and Communications team to support existing Drupal sites, providing administrative and technical assistance to stakeholders and users across all sites.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Feilding, reviewing, and executing change requests
Partnering with IWD Communication team and business stakeholders for planning, design, development, and testing across all IWD Drupal websites
Maintaining all existing websites
Ensuring all security, platform, and module updates get thoroughly tested and implemented timely.
Configuring user roles and permissions
Importing, exporting, and updating content
Providing training to managers, users, and administrators
Developing user guides and other support materials
Monitoring site performance and analytics
Providing web accessibility guidance
Additional experience and expertise are beneficial in the following areas: PHP, JavaScript, Acquia Sites, CSS, HTML, Linux Command Line Interface, Drush, adaptive technologies, responsive design, web inspection/debugging tools; web accessibility; Monsido site analysis; Google Analytics; Google Search Console; and GIT.
This position adheres to the State of Iowa Web Publishing Standards, as well as web accessibility guidelines such as WCAG and 508 Compliance
