Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team in support of the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command at Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will interpret a wide range of diagnostic radiologic imaging examinations and provide consultative expertise to fellow medical staff members. Your contributions will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely diagnoses to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

Interpret routine diagnostic studies, including plain films, CT, US, nuclear medicine, MRI, fluoroscopic, and mammography examinations.
Provide diagnostic interpretations for various diagnostic radiologic imaging examinations, offering expert consultation to other medical staff members.
Perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures, comparable to those executed by a board certified or board eligible diagnostic radiologist.
Execute routine radiological procedures, such as plain film, fluoroscopic procedures (including hysterosalpingogram, arthrograms, barium swallow, Upper GI, IVP), ultrasound (vascular, OB, routine abdominal, pelvic, superficial), CT scans, nuclear medicine, and mammography (including needle localizations and stereotactic guided biopsies).
Undertake minor interventional procedures, including ultrasound-guided biopsies and fine needle aspirations.

Qualifications:

Degree/Education: MD or DO; completed internship/residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
Experience: Minimum 24 months of experience within the last 36 months, which may include residency training.
Licensure: Active and clear license to practice as a physician from any state.
Clinical Board Certification: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible by AOBR (American Osteopathic Board of Radiology).
Life Support Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support).
Security: Must possess the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
