We are supporting a game-changing software development approach in support of the United States Air Force (USAF) and the larger Space Community through robust DevSecOps pipelines and containerized deployments. Our team is looking for a Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer with a broad enterprise DevOps background to focus on the development and administration of a wide variety of systems and environments. You will be supporting the development and deployment of DevOps capabilities as well as space mission applications for a wide range of government customers. Flexibility to work across different job roles such as IT Support, DevOps or Software Development is essential. Physical location for this work will be at Vandenberg AFB, CA.
Required Skills:
Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment using the Scrum methodology.
Ability to support and troubleshoot issues on common Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux).
Experience configuring and maintaining various hardware environments.
Knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing and Amazon Web Services.
Knowledge and experience with Docker Containers and Kubernetes.
Foundational understanding of networking concepts (Firewall, WiFi and VPN setup).
Experience with client account technical support (e.g. Windows Active Directory, DNS, application upgrades).
Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, Python.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
High level of self-motivation, ability to define, manage, and prioritize tasks in a team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an engineering field and 2-4 years of technical experience. Relevant experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be accepted in place of a degree.
DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CCNA, etc.) or ability to obtain.
Top Secret clearance with DCID eligibility for SCI preferred.
Must be a US citizen due to DoD contract.
Preferred:
Geographical proximity to or willingness to relocate to Vandenberg AFB, California area within 2-3 weeks. This is an onsite position.
Knowledge and experience with Postgres and Kafka.
Experience with full DevOps toolchain (e.g. JIRA, Gitlab, Jenkins, Fortify, Artifactory).
Experience with KNative, Istio and other container orchestration tools.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to include services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch.
Experience with cybersecurity tools e.g. ACAS, SIEM, HBSS.
