An immediate opportunity is available to join a market leader in the supply of automated materials handling projects for various industry sectors.
This client is one of the leading suppliers of material flow and internal logistics systems. For more than twenty years they have developed complete solutions - from the idea through to complete realisation in the field of transport, material flow, sorting technology, assembly, warehouse technology including control, automation and stock management systems.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Commission automation systems, conveyor lines and machinery experience
Managing projects from conception to completion, whilst meeting all the required deadlines
PLC & HMI software development and testing primarily with Siemens (Step 7 Classic and/or TIA Portal) and Rockwell (RS Logix 5000 and/or Studio 5000)
Planning and configuration of industrial networks (Profinet, Ethernet/IP etc.)
Configuration and programming of Remote IOs, VFDs, Servo Systems, Communications to other systems (Ethernet, RS232 etc.), Programming of industrial safety systems (Siemens F-CPUs, Rockwell GuardLogix, Pilz Multi etc.)
Experience of writing PLC software for bespoke automation systems
A sound working knowledge of the Machinery Directive, in particular EN13849 & EN60204-1
Customer focus and service skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Driving Licence
Recognised apprentice trained trade qualifications
Based in the Nottinghamshire, this role is commutable from within and around the following areas: Mansfield, Derby, Nottingham, Bingham and Loughborough.
