In this role, you have the opportunity to
Be a leading member of the Mercury Systems IT Infrastructure team. IT Infrastructure is responsible deploying and maintaining a highly secure and functional environment to support Mercurys mission. You will implement and support in a wide range of technologies consisting of both on-premises and cloud environments.
You are responsible for
Design and implementation of AWS technologies including IAM, VPC, SGs, ELB, EC2, EBS, EKS, ECS, etc.
Linux administration including OS, NIS, NFS
Assisting Business IT and Engineering IT teams in architecting, deploying, and supporting services
Assist in planning and migration of on-prem workloads to cloud services
Integrating acquired companies IT Infrastructures
You are a part of
A highly skilled team of IT professionals with a wide mix of experience in on-prem and cloud based systems. You would be expected to take a lead role in the deployment of new services both on-prem an in the cloud, operating with a wide degree of latitude.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in related field
10+ years professional experience in a fast-paced professional environment
Extensive operational experience in AWS cloud administration
Extensive operational experience administering Linux environments with a mix of OS distributions
Working knowledge of technology stack from networking and hardware to OS and application-level systems
Working knowledge of virtualization, containerization, and cloud technologies
Experience with Microsoft 365/Azure preferred
Experience working with Active Directory and supporting technologies preferred
Experience with AWS GovCloud preferred
Experience with Microsoft GCC High preferred
VMware and NetApp experience a plus
Experience in a defense industrial base company with an understanding of DFARS, ITAR/EAR, CUI/CDI, NIST and CMMC is a plus.
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Purpose: This position is for a recognized subject matter expert in the Information Systems sub-family, who works independently with limited supervision.

Education: Bachelor's Degree, AWS Certification, Linux Certification
