Big Data Engineer
Job Description
5+ Years of IT experience is preferred - if you feel you have what it takes; we are open even with less experience
3+ Years of working as a Data Engineer with thorough understanding of data frameworks that collect, manage, transform and store data that can be derive business insight
3+ years of experience coding in Python, Java, R (or) other object-oriented languages - experience with data engineering libraries(Pandas, NumPy, etc.) is a must
3+ years of experience working with SQL and Excel for quantitative data analysis is a must
2+ years of experience within the Big Data ecosystem(Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive, Spark, Pig, etc.)
Experience with GCP Data Services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc. is an added advantage and preferred
Any prior experience in ETL tools such as DataStage, Informatica, DBT, Talend, etc. is an added advantage for the role
Responsibilities of the role will be to work within a team that will,
Design, create and maintain code and script based data pipelines within a cloud-based data lake
Design and develop analytical frameworks that transform complex data into business insights
Build analytical dashboards that provide key metrics and insights for business leaders
Maintain and optimize data pipelines, dashboards and other components to provide optimum performance and experience
Work closely with Line of Business leaders to identify data challenges and create solutions
