Application Support Engineer - Fluent Japanese Speaker in Philippines

Overview:
We are seeking experienced Application Support Engineers to join our team, specifically to provide support for market data applications within the environment. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in market data application support, proficiency in Windows environments, and excellent communication skills. The roles involve covering Asia, and Amers regions, with a focus on rotating shifts and occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities:

Market Data Application Support:
Provide comprehensive support for market data applications, including Bloomberg applications, in a banking environment.
Handle issues related to market data infrastructure, applications, and effectively address user pressures.

Region Coverage:
Cover Asia regions, ensuring seamless support for market data applications in the specified time zones.
Collaborate with a team of engineers to collectively cover the Amers region.

Language Requirements:
For one of the roles, fluency in Japanese is essential. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively in Japanese, supporting Japanese-speaking users and applications.

Rotating Shifts and Weekend Work:
Be open to rotating shifts to accommodate different time zones.
Occasional weekend work may be required for software deployment or testing, with compensation provided.

Application Environment:
Work within a Windows environment, supporting the front end of applications used by over 200 users.

Communication and Collaboration:
Demonstrate strong soft skills in communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.
Collaborate with other teams, discuss issues, and escalate problems to vendors when necessary.

Remote Work:
The role allows for remote work, providing flexibility for candidates in various locations within specified countries.

Proven experience in market data application support, preferably within the financial industry.
Should be proficient in
TREP / RTDS.
DACS
Linux
Networking (TCP)
Proficiency in Windows environments and familiarity with Bloomberg applications.
Fluent in Japanese for the designated language-specific role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Flexibility to adapt to rotating shifts and occasional weekend work.
