Application Designer Java Enterprise Edition
Budget: Php80,000.00
Schedule: 45 hours/week
Work Set-up: Hybrid (2 days onsite/week)
Work Location: In person, Cebu City e-Bloc Tower 2

Are you a Java developer with a knack for designing scalable enterprise applications? We're looking for an Application Designer to help architect, build, and support robust business applications using Java Enterprise Edition in a fast-paced, cloud-integrated environment.

What You'll Need:
Non-negotiable skills:
Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE)
Strong SQL skills and experience with batch job processing
Working knowledge of Struts 1, Hibernate ORM, JasperReports, and JSP/JavaScript/HTML
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in application development using Java EE
Familiarity with software design principles and scalable architecture
Experience using Git and modern version control systems

Preferred skills:
Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, including EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation
Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
Experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
Understanding of serverless and event-driven application models
Exposure to software testing methodologies and tools (SAST, DAST)

What You'll Do:
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and understand business requirements
Design and develop secure, maintainable applications using Java EE technologies
Translate functional specs into technical designs and application architecture
Build and enhance application modules, reports, and interfaces
Support service requests involving new functionalities and enhancements
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Handle operations tasks like log fetching, data extraction/patching, and production recovery
Respond to client and helpdesk inquiries via email or meetings, providing timely solutions
Participate in cloud architecture design and automation efforts using AWS and DevSecOps tools
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, UAT, and production environments
