Looking for guidance on switching to a remote DevOps role (5 YOE, India)

I’m a DevOps engineer with 5 years of experience, primarily in service-based companies in India. My stack includes AWS, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab), Docker, basic Kubernetes, and Terraform. I’m now looking to move into a fully remote role—ideally with a product-based or global company.
What would you recommend I focus on to become a strong candidate for remote DevOps/SRE roles?

I’d say double down on Kubernetes (get past “basic”), IaC best practices, and cloud-native monitoring/observability. Also, some scripting (Python/Go) helps a ton in SRE-style roles. Remote gigs usually like folks who can own stuff end-to-end without hand-holding.
