Thank you for bringing this up, it's a very important question. Mirajobs has been founded and is supported by a small group of volunteers who believe that the existing tech job market is unfair and should be changed. You can read more about our vision at https://mirajobs.com/about and https://mirajobs.com/article/rethink-job-search In light of the recent waves of layoffs and unfair PIPs, more and more engineers agree on this and our platform is growing rapidly. Since the project is supported by volunteers, there are almost no direct costs. As for your personal data, there was a formal checkbox at the last screen of your profile creation process: "Submit this profile for moderator review and publication. I accept Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy." However, Mirajobs is the anonymous job search which means that you don't have to provide PII (personal identifiable information) in the first place. You can even create a new email address and set up a redirect to your main mailbox and use that address for your Mirajobs account. Then you publish your anonymous jobseeker's profile which outlines your experience and skills but it does not include any personal information. Once a recruiter contacts you and you are interested in the job proposal, you can reveal your identity directly to them. We would appreciate your feedback and would appreciate if you can help spreading the word about our project if you feel like it.
