Tips on AI Research Engineer Interview at Bloomberg

Tech Career - - shannon - OP

I am going to be interviewed for this position: https://careers.bloomberg.com/job/detail/87010 They told me that the interview will cover the following topics: 1. Software engineering skills. 2. Foundational machine learning and AI questions. 3. Open-ended machine learning questions. While I know how to prepare myself for Point 1, I am a bit worried about the other points, especially because AI is an umbrella term for a wide range of arguments. For the moment, I am refreshing my foundations of ML, Information Retrieval and NLP, and doing exercises on Kaggle. Do you have any advice about this job, and about Bloomberg in general? Thank you in advance.

I'm not an ML expert, but I guess it would be great to have some practical experience that you could then refer while answering questions in 2 and 3. For example, you might take the famous course by Andrew NG, install Octave and do some practical exercises which you could then speak about.
