International Job Seekers

I'm interested in working for a U.S. company while living overseas. I'm an experienced software engineer and authorized to work in the U.S. and in my country of residence. It seems like there's a win-win to be reached where the U.S. company could get a role filled at a considerable discount to tech-hub salaries which would more than compensate for dealing with remoteness, time zone differences, and extra tax issues. I'd be happy to be on-site for a week or two out of every quarter. It seems like the pandemic has demonstrated that remote work... works. Does this sound viable? Any hints on how I'd go about finding receptive employers? Sites like this one are very location focused and don't support the idea of living in X but looking for work in Y. Thanks!
