That's a common issue nowadays. Basically, job hunting is an iterative process - gain experience, update your resume, send out and hopefully get invites for interviews, then analyze and repeat. One thing I would suggest is about the first part "gain experience" - you don't need to get employed in order to get it. What you could do is to start using one or several related tools (testlink, testrail, celenium etc) and test an application of your friend or an open-source app and then submit bugs reports. If you are a junior specialist, it is especially important to show your high potential and make sure to properly represent any relevant activities as your experience.
