Machine Learning Intern

Summary

I am an exceptionally driven and adaptable person presently studying for a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington.

Before graduate studies, I worked with a healthcare startup for a year and a half. As a Software Developer, I built a precision healthcare app called Resolute. I gained invaluable experience while building Resolute, which helped me understand how to build user-facing applications and how AI systems can be used in real-world applications.
As a student, I am currently working on a capstone project at NanoString. We are developing a deep-learning localization network tailored to localize single emitters for RNA Spatial Transcriptomics. I am excited for the opportunity to learn from the experts on your team while utilizing the previous professional experience mentioned as a compass.

My focus while in graduate school is to narrow my expertise in machine learning, specifically in the field of Deep learning. At this crucial time in my professional development, I believe an internship would allow me to take the information I am learning in my courses and apply it outside of the classroom.

Expectations

Mentorship and guidance: I hope to have access to experienced mentors who can guide me through the various stages of a machine learning project. I am looking forward to receiving constructive feedback on my work and learning from my mistakes. I hope to be exposed to cutting-edge technologies and work with modern tools and frameworks.
